Tundra Racing, later changed to Speed of Sound and then SOS Performance, was founded by Tom Watts in 2002 and was originally a BBS & Centerline wheel distributor for the southeastern United States. With BBS located at Road Atlanta, we were able to participate in many "track day" events, driving our own cars as well as the 300z & later the Panoz purpose built racing / school cars. Watts also has extensive off-shore racing experience, with multiple regional & national podium finishes. In 2003, the company purchased a new Tundra T3 Access Cab for the shop & soon discovered there were very few performance parts available. Tom, Doug & George set out with 2 products in mind... the Rear Disc Brake Conversion & the Lowering Kit. With bridgeport CNC & CAD software in place, we began "making chips". We soon expanded to other products, including Big Brake Kits and Suspension products. Today, we design and build over 80 products. Our capabilities include rapid prototyping, 3D printing, 3D modeling, CNC milling, turning, EDM, water jet, tig welding, forming, and powercoating.
